Bio
John is a fierce competitor who enjoys the strategy of litigation and winning cases for his clients. He has experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including business torts, contract and property disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants. A direct, practical and pragmatic thinker, John’s broad legal knowledge base allows him to develop effective arguments and solutions for all his clients.
After practicing for nearly a decade, John has built a steady foundation of state and federal court experience. He has appeared in every state and federal court in Colorado including complex constitutional and statutory interpretation matters before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court. Along with litigation, John provides outside general counsel services for construction, manufacturing and cannabis industry clients assisting with employment, construction defect, contract negotiations and drafting, intellectual property, real estate and other matters.

John has been recognized by the U.S. District Court for Colorado for his pro bono civil rights work. He was appointed by the president of the Colorado Senate to serve as a Commissioner for Colorado’s Second Judicial District for the 2017 term.

In his free time, John is an obsessed fly fisherman, happiest on the water pursuing large trout and saltwater gamefish. He also enjoys reading books about history, adventure, and exploration and watching any sports teams from Philadelphia.
